While trying to get reconnected to people online, I decided to check in to Facebook from my desktop PC. Soon, I started getting messages on my phone that my user name and password were incorrect. When I tried to sign back into Facebook from a PC to investigate, a message said it was reported to Facebook that my account may not be legit, and I now have to go through a security check to regain access to my account (and verify that I am indeed a human being, and that I am the rightful owner of the account).
This isn't the first time I had this problem. It seems whenever I try to access the site from a secondary source, Facebook suddenly thinks my account has been hacked, and I have to go through some form of security check to get back into my account!
The security check involves Facebook showing you a number of photos from your friends' albums, and a multiple choice list of possible friends whose album the photo may belong to. Fortunately I have a relatively small list of friends, so I was able to identify the friends and unlock my account fairly easily. If I had a huge amount of people in my friends list, there is a possibility I would not be able to pass the security check!
So lesson learned...stick to one source to access Facebook!

Double Take!
While on my lunch break, I often pass by this door at a nearby building. I had to do a double take one day when something occurred to me...there's a deadbolt on either side!
On further inspection, the door is an outswing (it swings outside rather than in) with regular hinges. An outswing door usually has hinges with non-removeable pins, so no one can pull the pins out of the hinges to remove the door (and essentially break in). The addition of the deadbolt on the hinge side ensures no one can pull the door off the regular hinges.
Still, I had to do a double take. I've never seen that before!

Good to Be Back!
So I had basically disappeared from the internet these past couple of years. I guess a combination of things influenced my hiatus, like:
* A change in jobs (radically changing my work schedule, and therefore affecting my spare time away from my day job - well, that, and my current employer blocks sites associated with gaming, limiting my access to some online communities I was once heavily part of)
* An upgrade in technologies. For instance, now owning a smart phone, checking email no longer requires me to "go online".
* Back to drummin'! I am now a drummer in my current church band's rotation...and lovin' it! Obviously, that adds to my schedule due to the practices and services.
* Return to console gaming. Yes, I have been sucked back into console gaming...from games like Call of Duty Black Ops II and Skyrim to the recently released Tomb Raider relaunch.
Though I still don't have a great wealth of spare time, looking ahead, I am hoping to get back to my online roots (circa 2005) - maybe even plug back into some online communities. Maybe even post a little? Seriously...I'd like to get back in contact with the people that made online communities like RTSCommunity.com and MeMw.com such great sites to be a part of.
A shout out to you guys! Hope you all are doing well!

"zzacktoons.com" to End
Recently I was reminded via email that the hosting service I use for zzacktoons.com will end in May. Since I haven't utilized the site like I wanted to these past couple of years, I've decided to let the hosting service expire.
Even though "zzacktoons.com" will end, I plan to continue submitting content online (comic strips, artwork, etc), though I will be using various Blogger sites to do so.
